If you've never heard of milk glass, you might be scratching your head — but once you see it, you'll know what we're talking about.

Milk glass is white-colored glass, usually with a 3D design. (That's what the puffy paint is for — but we'll get to that.)

"It's a huge trend, and it's here to stay," interior designer and lifestyle expert Lauren Makk says. "It's very nostalgic. This is something from the '60s, I believe."

And while getting your hands on high-end, vintage milk glass vases might cost a pretty penny, the good news is you can make milk glass vases at home on a budget — and one of the judges of the new Disney+ show, Shop Class, is showing you how.

"And what I love," she continues," [is that] it's an upcycle project."

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Old vase(s)
  • White puffy paint
  • White spray paint

HOW TO MAKE DIY MILK GLASS:

1. Create your design of choice on your vase with white puffy paint. (Lauren likes to do little dots!)

2. Once the puffy paint dries, spray paint the vase in an outdoor space.
