It’s the question that stumps people every Thanksgiving: what size turkey should I buy?
The general rule of thumb is one pound per person, Rach suggests. This will ensure there’s more than enough turkey to go around and guests can also fill up on sides (try your hand at Rachael’s Apple, Celery and Onion Stuffing).
However, things can get a little trickier when you’re preparing such a large bird in a small, cramped kitchen. Luckily for us, Rach has some creative ways to get around cooking a whole turkey in such a confined space.

"Depending on how small your apartment actually is, you might want to think about alternatives. For my Friendsgiving, I often make a turkey meatloaf, which is delicious, fun and easy," Rach says.
Another great alternative would be to prepare turkey breasts, with the guideline being one breast for every four guests.
"It's easier for you to roast and also a lot quicker," Rach says. "It'll be a lot easier to get it in and out of the oven if you’re dealing with tiny kitchen and a tiny space instead of trying to do a whole turkey."
Whichever way you choose to get your turkey fix, we’re sure your guests will gobble it up.
