The next time someone tells you *not* to play with your food or to *eat* your vegetables, tell them you may have a better idea!

(Juuust kidding, eat those veggies!)

The Long Island Vegetable Orchestra, which was started by Grammy-nominated adjunct music professor Dr. Dale Stuckenbruck in 2011, actually PLAYS their veggies … as instruments!

Yup, we're talking pumpkin drums, squash horns, carrot flutes and a "cucumberphone" -- to name a few!

And they play famous tunes, like "Happy Together," "Ain't Misbehavin," "Heart and Soul" and "Happy Birthday," of course!

Don't buy it?

Hear them play "The Star-Spangled Banner" for yourself in the video above!
