Chef Ryan Scott proves it's so easy to make your own hummus with a can of cannellini beans—then simply top with everything bagel seasoning.
"Charcuterie boards are no longer just for meat and cheese, and BIG is in," Ryan says. "Take your dinner party to the next level with this grazing table. Ditch the bowls and serving utensils and dive in! To get started, get a very large board or make a mosaic using a bunch of smaller cutting boards. If you want to get really fancy, cover your table with plastic wrap and then line it with butcher paper and fill 'er up! I like to break my board into 'sections', pairing each hummus with some complimentary accoutrements. Feel free to bulk up your board with your favorite cheeses, meats, fruits, veggies and nuts. The only rule? Go to town!"
Ryan shares his Everything Bagel Seasoning recipe below, but you can also look for a pre-mixed version in your grocery store as a shortcut (Trader Joe's sells it!).
Ryan likes to pair this hummus with his Salt & Vinegar Waffle Fries, a veggie platter (raw radishes, fennel, sliced Honeycrisp apples, romaine hearts, endive) and white cheddar.
For the Everything Bagel Seasoning, combine ingredients in a bowl and mix.
For the hummus, in a food processor, combine all ingredients except for the parmesan and Everything Bagel Seasoning and blend until smooth.
To serve, place half of the Everything Bagel Seasoning onto a serving platter or on a charcuterie board. Dollop the hummus on top. Shave a generous amount of parmesan over the hummus and sprinkle with the remaining Everything Bagel Seasoning.
