Danielle Kartes, the author of Rustic Joyful Food, is a mom and cook with a passion for simple, flavorful cuisine. Here, she shares one of her favorite pitcher cocktails that she makes in batches when friends come over in the summer. She likes to pair it with her "Gourmet" Meatball Subs

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ to 3 cups grapefruit and pomelo vodka (Danielle uses her brand, Florescence)
  • 6 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 6 ounces dry Curaçao or Cointreau
  • 6 ounces cranberry juice
  • 4 to 6 large ice cubes (optional)

Yield

Serves: 4 to 6

Preparation

Pour all the ingredients into a decanter. Swirl to mix.

For each serving, pour 8 to 10 ounces into a cocktail shaker over 1 cup of ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into a coupe glass and serve. Alternatively, pour desired amount directly over a large ice cube into a coupe glass. Enjoy!

 Always drink responsibly.
