While sharing stories from his new memoir “Top Billin’,” former MTV VJ Bill Bellamy recalls flying to Los Angeles to interview "his crush” Janet Jackson around the time she released her hit 1993 song “That’s the Way Love Goes.”
“At this time, Janet Jackson was the sexiest female star in the world,” he says.
When he came face-to-face with Janet, Bill says he planned to shake her hand. But during the moment, Bill says she “embraces me like I was her boyfriend.”
“I literally almost blacked out. ‘Cause she was like holding my heart,” he hilariously says.
He also notes that she was the first person he saw with a belly button piercing.
