Retinol vs Bakuchiol in Skincare Products: What's the Difference…
If you bake Christmas cookies, chances are you have a favorite recipe. One audience member named Tom — who caught Rach's eye in the studio audience last season because of his striking resemblance to Santa — is sharing his go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe. (As it turns out, he's one of Santa's helpers, so it's no wonder he knows a thing or two about cookies!)
To make them, whisk together 2 ¼ cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. In another mixing bowl, add brown sugar, sugar, butter, shortening, 2 eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla. Mix in the dry ingredients, and don’t forget the chocolate chips!
“Usually it calls for 2 cups, but I always say, ‘If you want to go a little bit extra, why not? I do!’” Santa Tom says.
You should be able to fit at least a dozen balls of dough on a cookie sheet. Once the oven is preheated to 375 degrees, put the cookies in for 8 to 10 minutes — and voila!
Although Tom rocks the Santa look all year ‘round, he tells Rach he is usually invited to about 60 holiday parties during the winter season. Luckily, he comes bearing (delicious cookie) gifts!
