You might not think that a BBQ spot would specialize in ice cream cones, but when it comes to Doumar’s Barbecue in Norfolk, Virginia, it’s steeped in over 100 years of history!
In 1904, Abe Doumar invented the ice cream cone at the St. Louis World’s Fair -- and Doumar’s *still* uses the same old-school machine to this day, which rolls one cone while three more bake.

Now, with that many cones, there’s bound to be a few duds, but don’t worry—none of them go to waste!
Instead, they crunch ‘em up and sprinkle them over ice cream. The whole thing gets doused in hot fudge and finished with whipped cream and a cherry -- and they call the treat a “Ringo.”
Sounds like a pretty delicious mistake to us!
