New York has some of the world’s best art and interactive museums (spy museum, anyone?!), but the city’s newest pop-up museum is focused more on pepperoni than Picasso.
That’s right: New York’s hottest new museum is the Museum of Pizza—and we sent our favorite cousins, the Pizza Cousins (a.k.a. the hosts of Cooking Channel's "Pizza Cuz"), to check it out.
Sal Basile and Francis Garcia, owners of the famous Artichoke Basille’s in NYC, headed to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to experience it firsthand. (They're pizza experts, after all!)

In addition to an incredible collection of pizza boxes (75 different ones are on display!) and a guitar shaped like a pizza, the “MoPi” also has immersive installations like a “pizza beach,” contemporary art dedicated to pizza and a futuristic blacklight room that pays tribute all sorts of slices.
"The future is pizza, 'cause steak is too much money to buy!" Fran jokes.
While they don’t actually sell any pizza at the museum (? ), you can walk around the corner for a slice from the Pizza Cousins' Williamsburg location of Artichoke Basille (You also HAVE to try their secret recipe for Trenton-style mustard pizza from Lions & Tigers & Squares Detroit Pizza, which was inspired by the original sold at America’s first pizzeria, Papa’s Tomato Pies in Trenton, New Jersey).
The Museum of Pizza is open through Nov. 18 at 55 Wythe Ave. in Brooklyn.
