We couldn't have a "shortcuts" show without actually giving someone a short cut, now could we? And Laura, a recent college grad who hasn't had a legitimate haircut in 10 years, was the perfect candidate.
"I just graduated from college and I need a new look for [my] career," Laura tells Rach of her decision to make this change now.

Now, since the job had to be done in under an hour, we had to call in an absolute pro to pull it off. And who better than hairstylist-to-the-stars (like Kim K. and J.Lo) Chris Appleton?
Not only did Chris chop a huge chunk of Laura's hair off right on our set in front of our entire studio audience (no pressure or anything!), but he then flawlessly styled it backstage before our show was over.
