Dr. Nigma Talib, author of Younger Skin Starts in the Gut, says that there are specific types of food that can actually help *fight* the signs of aging.

And if you want glowing skin, she says you should eat red, orange and yellow vegetables, like butternut squash, red peppers, carrots and other foods that are rich in vitamin C.

"Vitamin C is really good for collagen building — it makes you glowy," the doc says. "And, we found in research that six weeks of eating these foods, increasing your serving size [by] just two extra servings … can actually increase the tone of your skin and the glowy and dewiness of the skin."

Dr. Nigma has appropriately given these foods the nickname "glow givers."

"If you want to have the J.Lo glow, this is what you need to be eating," she says.
