Our very special viewer Steve has a menagerie of rescue animals that includes a rabbit, pig, ducks, chickens, pigeons, cats and a whopping 10 dogs, and talks about how rescuing animals has made him a better person.
He says that the death of his dog Wolfgang inspired him to adopt the “oldest, least-adoptable dog” at the shelter, and shares of his pets, “They know… I’m convinced that they know that you’ve saved them.”
And they’re not the only ones who benefit from the arrangement. Steve says, “To become a better human you need to put other people’s needs in front of yours and that happens when you rescue a senior dog, or a dog with disabilities.”
Watch to see the amazing surprise Rachael has for Steve and his brood!
