It’s National Fried Chicken Day and to celebrate, we’re sharing seven of our all-time favorite recipes! From classic Southern fried chicken, to fried chicken on a waffle, to Mexican fried chicken – we’ve got a fried chicken to please everyone!
No. 1: Daddy Wu’s Pan-Fried Chicken

This Asian-inspired fried chicken starts with chicken breast marinated overnight in a dressing of sake, soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster (or hoisin) sauce, mirin, garlic, white pepper and a lot of grated ginger. You then bread the chicken in flour, egg and panko breadcrumbs, and fry. Serve with a homemade honey sesame sauce – delish!
No. 2: Spicy Chicken and Cheddar Waffle Sandwiches

Yup, you heard that right. Fried chicken ON a waffle. A cheddar waffle. With bacon. And a maple syrup sauce.
No. 3: Sunny Anderson's Fried Sweet Tea Chicken

This innovative recipe uses a sweet tea and lemon brine to marinate the chicken! The chicken is dredged in a slightly spicy breading, fried and served with a sweet tea syrup, yum!
No. 4: Bobby Flay's Fried Chicken with Tabasco Honey
First, Bobby marinates his chicken in a spicy buttermilk sauce overnight, then he fries it with a spicy and flavorful breading. Lastly, he serves his chicken with a spicy honey sauce.
Tip: Avoid using large pieces of chicken, smaller pieces will cook more evenly.
No. 5: Buttermilk Fried Chickenwiches
This sandwich starts with a classic fried chicken preparation, and finishes with a spicy bacon sauce on toasted buns. Yum!
This Mexican spin on fried chicken is marinated in a honey-vinegar marinade, then dredged in a spicy batter and served with lime wedges.
