Rach calls her "the most efficient packer on the planet Earth" -- so suffice to say, we're all ears when this clever lady visits!
Here are seven of her tried-and-true packing tips that you have to see to believe.
1) ROLL + FOLD TO AVOID WRINKLES
"I could pack for months in a carry-on," Rachel says.
How?!
Well, when folding, the packing pro says you should put like items together and fold as ONE.
When rolling T-shirts, for example, fold them to the width of a plastic bag and roll, then compress a bunch in the baggy. (No need for expensive vacuum sealer bags!)
"This also avoids creases," Rachel explains, "like deep creases."
And when it comes to blouses, lay similarly shaped blouses flat on top of each other before folding and rolling.
Watch her show you how in the video above!
2) SHAKE YOUR SUITCASE TO MAKE MORE ROOM
Just when you think your suitcase can't *possibly* fit another inch of clothing or shoes, think again!
After zipping her carry-on, Rachel bangs it up and down. This creates space right on top, making it easy to fit a whole additional outfit or shoes in the bag.
GENIUS.
Watch the video above to see what a difference it makes. Seriously, it works like a magic trick!
3) USE THESE EVERYDAY ITEMS TO KEEP LITTLE ITEMS SAFE
When you pack small items in a gigantic suitcase, they're bound to get lost in the shuffle or ruined, right?
Wrong -- not on Rachel's watch!
Here are three ingenious ways she packs small (and even teeny-tiny) items:
If you've lost your plastic razor cover, use a binder clip to cover it instead. (Bet you've never thought of that!)
Keep your earrings and rings together in a pill organizer so you're not scrambling to find them at the bottom of your bag when you reach your destination. (Plus, scroll down for a clever tip for keeping your necklaces from tangling!)
Keep your makeup, like blushes and powders, from breaking by protecting it with cotton pads. ("Your mom must be so proud," Rach gushes.)

4) REPURPOSE CONTACT LENS CASES FOR LIQUIDS
It’s not like you need your full 12-oz. tube of toothpaste for a quick trip. Rachel’s genius hack: fill inexpensive contact lens cases with whatever liquids you need for your travels.
Whether it’s concealer, sunscreen, lotion or toothpaste, these handy plastic cases hold a surprising amount!

5) BRING AN OVEN MITT FOR HOT HAIR TOOLS
What do you when you’re in a rush but need to pack your piping-hot curling iron? An oven mitt to the rescue! (It’s also handy for avoiding damage to countertops and furniture.)
For extra packing space, wrap the mitt with a rubber band before putting it in your luggage.

6) PLASTIC WRAP YOUR NECKLACES TO KEEP THEM FROM GETTING TANGLED
The secret to packing jewelry is lurking in your kitchen! Tear off a sheet of plastic wrap and lay it sticky side up. Lay each necklace on the wrap and then press another sheet of wrap on top of it, pressing to seal. Then, cut each out.
"You are brilliant!" says Rach.
(P.S. You can also use this tip for packing pills, earrings, and even your toothbrush!)
7) STASH YOUR CASH IN A LIP BALM TUBE
Recycle an empty lip balm tube and put it to good use as a mini-piggy bank. Roll up a few bills and put the cap on the tube -- no one will ever know!
Having extra cash stowed away is always a smart move when traveling, especially if you’re in a busy city or market where pickpockets might be lurking!
8) USE RUBBER BANDS TO PREVENT LEAKS
A simple rubber band will stop those pesky leaky pump bottles! Everyone’s opened their suitcase to find a lotion explosion, but Rachel’s tip solves that problem. Simply twist a rubber band around the neck of the dispenser.
