Let them eat cake!

Thanks to Kensington Palace's generous updates on the upcoming royal wedding, we know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen a lemon elderflower cake for their big day this Saturday, May 19.

But what that cake will look like? It's anyone's guess!

Beyond "covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers," we know very little about the cake-to-be — other than that, undoubtedly, it will be gorgeous.

But that's exactly why we thought it was the perfect opportunity to put three bakers to the test!

We asked Karen and Diana of Bredenbeck’s Bakery, Gina and Nancy of The Vintage Cake and Salvatore and Joseph of Bruno’s Bakery to each present what they think the royal wedding cake will look like — and trust, they delivered.

From the classic to the oh-so-British and wonderfully whimsically, check out all three royal wedding cake ideas below!

THE BAKERY: Bredenbeck’s Bakery in Philadelphia, PA
THE CAKE: A fairytale-inspired "light and airy" cake with American buttercream frosting, accented with florals galore, inspired by a classic English garden, and topped with two foxes "in love."

BUDDY'S REVIEW: "I think the details on the gum paste flowers are impeccable. I think even the brushed embroidery — even the floral tiers — is beautiful. I like that it tells a story, I just don't know if it's too whimsical for a royal wedding."

THE BAKERY: Bruno's Bakery in Staten Island, New York
THE CAKE: A six-tier, four-feet-tall lemon poppyseed cake with fresh blueberry compost, decorated classically with square tiers and gold leafing to look like a chandelier

BUDDY'S REVIEW: "It was moist, it was delicious and that's what I like. [But] I wish there were more refined details on it. I don't know if the lights were too over the top." (That said, Rachael was all about them!)

THE BAKERY: The Vintage Cake in Atlantic Highlands, NJ
THE CAKE: A classic cake with clean lines with round tiers, save for a hexagonal bottom — inspired by Meghan's trendy style. The cake is also accented with sugared jewels, inspired by the princess-to-be's engagement ring. The interior? Lemon sponge with lavender berry buttercream filling.

BUDDY'S REVIEW: "I really love what you guys did on your detail. I love the gold with the blush and the pink. It's got a really royal sense to it." (Rachael also loved the calligraphic quote from Harry about Meghan.)

While all three cakes were obviously amazing, only one could win — as chosen by the "Cake Boss" himself.

And the winner is… Bruno's Bakery!
