Did you know that the average American eats three pounds of sugar in a WEEK? And over 150 pounds of sugar in a YEAR? That’s according to Dr. Ian Smith and in his new book Blast the Sugar Out, he has something to say about it. He claims that if you follow his plan you can lose 20 lbs in five weeks and lower your blood sugar.
HOW MUCH SUGAR SHOULD YOU BE EATING?
Dr. Ian says women should consume no more than 100 calories (about 25 grams) of added sugars per day. Most men should consume no more than 150 calories (about 37.5 grams) each day.
That’s about six teaspoons of added sugar a day for women and nine for men.
