We already have bees to thank for delicious honey -- but did you know we also have them to thank for something called bee pollen?
Well, we do! And celebrity nutritionist Keri Glassman calls it a superfood of 2018.
"It's actually the perfect example of a superfood," Keri explains, "because it’s jam-packed with nutrition."

"About 40% of the calories you get in bee pollen is from protein," she continues.
As if that’s not enough, it’s also packed with vitamin A (which is good for your immune system!) and antioxidants, Keri says.
We’re still not done …
"It actually also has been shown to be protective of the liver," the nutritionist goes on, "which we know is so important for detoxifying our system."
So, how do you get in on this superfood trend, you ask?

You can find it in health food stores and can simply sprinkle it on your oatmeal or yogurt. Yum-o!
As always, you should check with your doctor before making any dietary changes.
