Ingredients
3 cups apple cider
1 cup cranberry juice,
1 cup pear juice,
Bundle of sage, rosemary, and bay leaves
5 all spice berries
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
Pear or regular brandy
1 bottle of red wine (I prefer Barbera)
Sliced pear and fresh cranberries (for garnish)
Yield
Serves: 12
Preparation
Heat all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Using a spider, remove solid ingredients before serving.
For non-alcoholic or kid-friendly drink, ladle the hot cider into a mug or goblet, garnish with cranberries and pear slices and serve.
For a boozy version, pour 1 shot of brandy into a mug or goblet, roll around to coat the sides then fill halfway with hot cider. Top off with red wine.
