In honor of Mother's Day, John showed actor Justin Long and his mom how to make his "Sundays With Mom" champagne cocktail. 

"Nothing says Mother's Day like champagne." –John 

Give mom Rach and John's complete Mother's Day brunch experience by pairing this sparkling drink with Rach's French Onion Monte Cristo with Spring Greens Salad and Boozy Berries.

Ingredients

  • 1½ ounces vodka
  • 1½ ounces Lillet Blanc
  • ¾ ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • 3 to 4 ounces champagne or sparkling wine
  • Lemon twists, for garnish

Yield

Serves: 2

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice and simple syrup. Add ice, shake, then strain into two ice-filled Collins glasses. Top with sparkling wine and garnish each with a lemon twist and straw.
