Camila McConaughey, mom of three, entrepreneur and Women of Today founder, is a whiz at creating fun, inexpensive and easy treats for Halloween. The first time she made her eyeball meatballs for her kids, she kept a cover on the dish until they came to the table. Then, she dramatically lifted the lid, exposing the "eyes" floating in a pool of blood (marinara sauce). Needless to say, the kids screamed! If you like, serve the meatballs and sauce with pasta.

Ingredients

  • 16 pieces round white candy of your choice
  • 16 cooked homemade or store-bought meatballs
  • About 4 cups homemade or store-bought marinara sauce, warmed

Yield

Serves: 4 to 6

Preparation

Draw an eye onto each piece of candy using a black marker. Cut a little divot into each meatball and push a piece of candy into it, drawing side facing out, so it sticks. Pour the marinara sauce into a rimmed serving dish and arrange the meatballs in it, with the eyes facing up.
