Rach's husband, John, shares a refreshing cocktail recipe that tops a classic Negroni with prosecco for a "royale" touch. 

"Basically, if you take a cocktail and top it with Champagne or sparkling wine, it makes it royale."John 

John made this refreshing cocktail to pair with Rach's Spring Tagliatelle with Ground Meat Ragu and Spring Peas.


  • 1½ ounces gin
  • 1½ ounces Campari
  • ¾ ounce red (sweet) vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Ice
  • 1 small orange wedge
  • 1 ounce prosecco, Champagne or sparkling wine
  • 1 lemon twist, for garnish


Serves: 1


Add first 4 ingredients to a rocks glass. Fill the glass with ice, then squeeze an orange wedge over top and drop into the glass. Stir to chill, top with prosecco and garnish with a lemon twist.
