John was inspired by Rach's use of sage in a recipe to mix up this cocktail that's a riff on one from an old friend.

Try pairing this cocktail with the meal behind the inspiration:

Rach's Pork Chops with Maple, Mustard & Capers

Brown Butter Sage Garlicky Mashed Potatoes & Parsnips

Raw Mushroom & Escarole Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 slices seedless cucumber
  • 5 to 7 fresh sage leaves, plus 1 for garnish
  • 2½ ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
