BoysGrow Farm Grows a Lot More Than Produce—It Grows Future Farmers + Chefs, Too

The BoysGrow farm in Kansas City grows a lot more than produce—they're growing future farmers, chefs and entrepreneurs, according to the founder, John Gordon Jr.

After working in the juvenile justice system, John wanted to inspire kids, so he founded the BoysGrow farm in Kansas City.

"The efforts that we make out here at BoysGrow go well beyond just the youth. From what we have seen, the more pride that a kid takes in something positive that he's doing, the better it is for everyone. So, we've learned from the family members of our boys how much of a change that they've seen in them based on just getting up to go to school on time or doing their homework—a variety of things," says John. "So, even though our program is very centered on the youth that we serve, it holds extreme value in the community as well." How incredible!

To help BoysGrow continue to grow their garden and programming, our friends at Pom Wonderful are giving them $10,000!
