Frequent Guest Farmer Lee Jones On Devastating Fire: A Lot of Memories Went Up in Smoke

Farmer Lee Jones, a close friend of Rachael's, suffered a devastating fire on his farm in Ohio—but he's staying positive as he works with his family to build it back.

"It's the phone call that none of us ever want to get," Farmer Lee Jones says. "We're blessed in many ways. Nobody was hurt, but a lot of memories went up in smoke that morning. The only thing we could do was to stand out of the way. There were five or six fire departments that did a beautiful job at maintaining that—and keeping it from being a much bigger fire."

"It's not that bad things aren't going to happen," he continues. "They will. It's how we handle them that's what counts. You pick up the pieces and you move forward, and we're going to find a way to build the best new farmers market that we can imagine," Farmer Lee Jones says.

Farmer Lee Jones also shared his expertise on sunchokes and winter radishes, plus he shared some delicious recipes to get cooking with both! He also took Rach to one of his favorite local pizza spots in Ohio—and we've made it a "bestaurant".
