NYC Restauranteur Will Guidara Reflects On What Truly Makes a Restaurant Successful

NYC restauranteur, Will Guidara, who owns acclaimed restaurant Eleven Madison Park, stopped by to discuss his new book Unreasonable Hospitality with Rach. During their chat, he revealed the secrets to his success, and how they’re connected to everyday life (and even marriage! His wife is Christina Tosi, owner of Momofuku of Milk Bar).

"There's this quote that I talk about in the book... people will forget what you say, they'll forget what you do, but they'll never forget how you made them feel... that recognition was what ultimately took us to the very top," says Will. “The beauty of a great gift—for the person on the receiving end—is that they feel seen, they feel known, they feel a sense of belonging... this can be an object, an experience or a simple gesture," he adds.

"This is a useful book for life," says Rach.
